Youth Brigade Academy

After School Program

The Wesley House Community Services Youth Services program is called the Youth Brigade Academy. This program is open from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. This program relies on violence abatement tactics to promote positive youth.

After school, youth have time for homework, and tutors are available to help. After homework is finished, the youth play basketball, engage in dancing, work on art projects and enjoy the newly renovated game room or the big screen television. Special arts-integrated programs are also presented. The youth are also provided an afternoon snack.

Summer Program

During the summer, youth activities are scheduled from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Wesley House youth also experience the community in the summer through field trips, outdoor recreation, and college visits.

There is no charge to the youth for participation in this program except for occasional field trip fees. Transportation is available in the immediate area.

Camp Loucon

Our youth attend camp every summer at Camp Loucon free of charge. This camp is for children 3rd grade up to 12th grade. There may be a deposit to cover transportation expenses.
